Announcing the HealthAI Global Community of Practice

Tackling the urgent need for regulations around AI in health.

The potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in health is immense. However, to harness this potential responsibly across different regions, we need more than just innovation; we require collaboration. That's why HealthAI is excited to announce the launch of the Global Community of Practice (CoP). This network is dedicated to sharing knowledge about regulating AI in health to ensure that AI tools are safe, high-quality, equitable, and effective for everyone.

The Vision

The CoP is about building bridges between health experts and creating a global network where knowledge, challenges, and solutions can be shared freely. This initiative aims to bolster each country's ability to assess AI technologies, ensuring they're safe, effective, and beneficial for citizens.

We want to make sure that the capacity exists so that each country, with their sovereign independence, can validate AI tools for health. We're also working to connect regulatory teams worldwide into one global network to allow knowledge sharing to help accelerate the validation process safely and tackle any challenges that may arise.

Why It Matters

AI in health is already revolutionizing patient care in some parts of the world, from diagnosis to treatment. However, for AI to truly benefit everyone, it must be implemented safely and responsibly. The CoP will ensure that all countries, regardless of their starting point, have the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about AI technologies.

Join Us

We invite organizations from patient associations, regulatory bodies, private businesses, tech companies, notifying bodies, academia, and more to join us. This expertise can help shape a future where AI in health is not just a tool for the elite few but a transformative force for the health and well-being of all.

For more information on how you can be part of this pioneering initiative, please visit the HealthAI Community of Practice page on our website.

Together, we can pave the way for a future where every country is empowered to harness the potential of AI for health, ensuring technologies are innovative but also safe, equitable, and effective.
